Losing a loved one
The death of a loved one is a difficult and painful time. Amidst all the
emotions and questions you may have, there are also practical arrangements
to make.
This site is aimed at assisting people who are arranging a funeral
for a family member in Helsinki. The closest family members are responsible
for funeral arrangements, but you don’t need to handle everything on your
own. Both the church and funeral directors assist with the arrangements.
Even though the funeral and the arrangements required may seem laborious
and feel emotionally difficult, they can also be part of the grieving process,
giving the family strength to carry on with their lives.
Christian faith can bring a perspective of hope to the funeral and to the sorrow and longing that
are part of losing a loved one. There is something on the other side of death,
and our path there is guided.
